Hehe - so then: there are couple of people I know here who have experience working on similar projects (in terms of the vastness of people you'd be trying to reach); I'm going to note them with the idea and ask for advice in terms of organization, etc [I'm giving you all the credit, and serving as a networking device, deal?]. Then I'll note you with the compilation of the info, and from then on - you can take the reigns, and we'd go from there.

So, how would you like to implement that? It's a nice idea.
How about - someone starts it in their journal, with the link to the news article - asking people to continue in their journals, or as deviation pieces - which ever they prefer; and every time someone participates, they should fave the article, so it spreads as much as possible; they should also link to it as much as possible and randomly...

Then, every time they do that, they should leave a comment with a link to their journal/deviation in the news article - and we should somehow try to collect all the works (perhaps making deviations and submitting them to scraps would work well)...
This collection should be readily available - and we should appeal to ^PurpelBlur to link to it (since she's already linking to your idea)....

And finally, we should try to make this more rewarding, on the selfish level - perhaps, every three months or so, a couple of random people will be chosen and rewarded with some prizes (for which we would need to work and ask for donations, but that's far from the original step)...

So yeah. This is doable. See if you'd like to put a lot of effort into moving the idea forward - and if yes, I'd love to help
